• Assessment Phase (August 2020 - May 2021) - completed

  • Organize advisory committee

  • Identify Internet-related assets and resources available in the town (see link on Links page)

  • Conduct survey to identify current usage and issues (see link on Links page)

  • Identify current gaps in service and preliminary options

• Feasibility Phase (August 2021 - Jan 2022)   - completed 

  • Identify future internet-related needs and opportunities.

  • Evaluate community-wide broadband options (technical, operational, business and funding choices)

• Make recommendations to select board (April-July 2022) - Completed

  • Scope (town-specific)/current provider/funding to be provided through Maine connectivity Authority

  • Extend the Line Grant awarded to Charter/Spectrum March 2023

• Deployment/Implementation Phase (2023)

  • As of July 2023, contracts& agreements between Charter/Spectrum and the Maine Connectivity Authority are being finalized 

  • Network extensions expected to start in late 2023 or early 2024
